Behind the Scenes of the Association of Grassroots Activities RzeczJasna!

Transparency and a positive attitude for the common good 🙂
We believe that publishing financial information about RzeczJasna on our website helps us create a good climate for action.

So go ahead, take a look!

RzeczJasna Finances

Where do we get our funding from?

According to our Statute, we are financed through:
1)  membership fees of Association Members,
2)  applying for grants (from government, local government, EU institutions, other organizations, etc.),
3)  organizing fundraising campaigns,
4)  organizing community work for the benefit of the Association,
5)  organizing income-generating events,
6)  donations made to us.

We also carry out paid public benefit activities as well as business activities, with all income fully allocated to RzeczJasna’s work.
From revenue-generating activities, we finance initiatives for which we do not have other sources of funding – e.g., the continuation of the Lost Worlds Stories series or the film series with Dr. Wiesław Skrobot about the city.

What do we spend money on?

Behind every one of our activities are people.
That’s why we maintain a permanent team of employees. As of January 2021, this already means 9 people on employment contracts or civil law contracts. In addition, we periodically hire people within the framework of projects and activities. For example, in 2020 there were 8 additional people employed in varying time capacities.
Salaries and the costs of social security (ZUS) and taxes on wages are the largest item in our budget.
At RzeczJasna, we have adopted the principle of “flat” salaries. This means that a full-time position is worth the same for everyone, and the amount of remuneration simply depends on the amount of time devoted to working in the organization.
The second largest expense is the ongoing purchase of work equipment and the costs of software licenses.
The last important budget item is so-called administrative costs, which mainly consist of the expenses for our accounting office (Did you know that associations like ours are required to maintain full accounting records?).
