Warmia & Mazury · since 2023

Young people have a voice.

And they use it!

Since 2023, we have been running the Youth Editorial Team — a group of volunteers passionate about creating their own content. We meet every week, all year round. We write, record, edit, and conduct interviews — for real audiences and about real issues.

Local editorial teams

We have been working here since 2023 in partnership with Bażyński High School (I LO im. Bażyńskiego). In 2025 alone, we published 40 pieces — articles, reports, vlogs, and videos about local issues, people, and events. We talked with writer Jakub Żulczyk and asked high‑school seniors about their final exams. We attended the Youth City Council session, the WOŚP finale, and the Night of Museums. We visited TVP Olsztyn, the WiM Journalists’ Gala in Olsztyn, and the Youth Forum “(I Don’t) Have to Leave”.
And that’s just one year 🙂
Our materials

Young people from Ełk recorded a podcast about their town — from the perspective of their peers. The group from Korsze produced five short films about local passions and invited primary‑school students to their own event at the Municipal Cultural Centre. The editorial team from Ostróda recorded a 68‑minute podcast about faith — without taboos and without judgement. Students from Bażyniak launched the HejtOFF campaign against hate speech. And the Talent Seekers from Węgorzewo recorded five podcasts with students who had never had a stage before.
Our materials

We’re looking for young people and teachers from across the region who are ready to build local civic media. If you’re from a small town or village — write to us.

Model of work

This is your space

We teach through doing —by writing texts that someone actually reads, recording videos that someone actually watches, and conducting interviews with real people about real issues.

Young people propose their own topics, initiate actions, and learn to take responsibility for the messages they create.

This is not an after‑school club — it’s a space where young people have real influence.

1

Weekly editorial meetings

All year round — even during the summer. Topic planning, discussing materials, learning the craft.

2

You create your own materials

Articles, videos, podcasts — published in the RzeczJasna Magazine and reaching real audiences across the region.

3

Trips and Workshops

National conferences, study visits, youth forums — places you wouldn’t easily reach without the editorial team.

4

A micro‑grant for your idea

Up to 2,000 PLN to carry out your own media project — for active volunteers.

For schools and dormitories

Start an editorial team at your school

We work with schools and dormitories that want to launch their own editorial teams or media classes. You’re not left on your own — we provide a complete programme and support at every step.

4‑year media education programme

We created a programme in collaboration with schools, and we help you implement it. From the basics of journalism to advanced video and podcast formats — all adapted to students’ skill levels.

Substantive and technical support

We help you choose equipment, software, and formats. Our specialists provide ongoing support — whether it’s editing, planning materials, or developing ideas.

Teacher training

A teacher doesn’t need to be a journalist to run an editorial team. We provide training and substantive support — giving you tools and methods for working with young creators.

Trips, workshops, and study visits

We organise visits to other editorial teams, media events, and national conferences. Students from small towns get to see how the real media world works.

Are you a teacher or headteacher?

Write to us — we’ll tell you what the cooperation looks like and what we can create together for your students.

Competition

“Young people, media, engagement” micro‑grants

At the end of 2025, we completed the first edition of our micro‑grant competition. We awarded five grants for original projects — reports, podcasts, and social campaigns created entirely by volunteers.
The next edition is coming in 2026. If you’re an active volunteer in one of our editorial teams, you can receive up to 2,000 PLN for your own idea.
